For centuries, books have housed the collective knowledge of the world and formed the foundations of educational institutions. Given that these objects that contain such value, it only makes sense that throughout history people have constructed beautiful buildings to house them.

the few times I’ve gone snorkelling this is the most intensely scary but amazing thing about it, the bit where the reef ends and it suddenly just drops off and you cant see the bottom or what’s down there, and you swim over the edge and suddenly you’re in open water, and you feel so vulnerable like you’re a fish that lives on the reef, and you finally understand finding nemo

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE Alphonse Mucha. I have this book, which is over 300 pages of Mucha prints. As the cover is now torn and the binding a bit frayed from use, it was worth every penny ;)
